Rental Requirements and General Qualifications

Local Renter:
• The pick-up and drop off location is 2813 Hanger Way Bakersfield, California 93308.
• Pick-up hours are from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
• Drop-off hours are also from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
• When dropping off your rental vehicle: Follow the directions to the drop-off location at the specified address. Ensure you return the vehicle during the operational hours (8:00 am to 6:00 pm) to avoid any additional fees or complications (For Local Renter’s).
• If you have any questions or need assistance with the drop-off process, you can contact Priceless Car Rental / NextCar at (661) 843-7866 during their operational hours.

Fly In Renter Pick-Up and Drop-Off:
• Upon arrival at the airport, renters should call (661) 843-7866 to arrange for pick-up.
• The office is located a mile away on the private jet center side of the airport.
• Renters should allow 5 to 10 minutes for Priceless Car Rental / NextCar to arrive for pick-up.
• There is no shuttle service provided for local renters, and they are limited to 2500 miles per rental agreement.
• After Hour Pick-ups and Drop-Offs: Instructions will be sent prior to arrival Via text message.

Terms and Conditions. Physical Damage Coverage is required and must be provided by one of the following: Your personal auto policy with collision coverage. Verification required. Your credit card's 'Rental Vehicle Coverage'. Verification required. Your purchase of the Physical Damage Waiver. Verification required. We require insurance verification as part of the rental process. Your insurance must be paid in advance for 30 days beyond the pick up date of the vehicle, with a deductible of $500 or less. See our complete rental requirements here for more information. Reservations are valid until one hour after pickup time.

Prepaid Reservation Terms and Conditions: Your card will be charged for the total cost of this reservation $ when you reserve your car. The credit/debit card used to reserve the pay now rate must be in the renter's name and must be provided to Rent-A-Wreck at the time of rental. The name on the credit card must match the driver's name. At the time of rental, you MUST produce the same credit card you paid online and valid driver's license in your name. Your card will be charged for the total cost of this reservation $ when you reserve your car. The security deposit for the vehicle will be charged when you pick up the vehicle. PREPAID debit cards are not accepted at all locations, be sure to check with the location. We gladly accept bank issued debit cards. The fee for an additional driver ranges from $5 to $32 per day, depending on the terms of the rental. However, this fee is waived for spouses with the same last name and address on their driver's license and insurance.

Renters must have their own insurance policy that fully covers the rental vehicle. The declaration page should be sent to the email address: bakersfield@pricelesscarrental.com. The rental company does not offer insurance for purchase.

Unlimited mileage is available for renters flying in only.
Local renters have a mileage allowance of 2500 miles per contract, with an additional charge of $0.59 for each additional mile.

All major credit cards and bank-issued debit cards are accepted. There is a $39.00 per contract processing fee when using a bank-issued debit card or a affirm card to pay for rental and deposit.
Security deposits range from $200 to $1000, in addition to the total rental cost.

As a customer, you have three payment options for fuel:

Option 1 - Prepay Fuel: You can pay for a full tank of gas when you pick up the rental car and return it empty. However, please note that no refunds will be provided for any unused fuel.

Option 2 - We Refuel: With this option, you can return the vehicle without refueling, and Priceless Car Rental will refuel it for you. The cost per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices, and you will be charged for the amount of gas used but not replaced. $7 per gallon plus $10 refueling fee.

Option 3 - You Refuel: You can choose to return the car with the same amount of fuel it had when you received it, avoiding any additional fuel charges.

Drivers under 21 years old are not allowed to drive rental cars.
Renters aged 21-24 or over 75 will pay an additional fee of $25.00 per day.
International driver's licenses must be valid for at least 2 months from the rental date and must accompany a valid country license and return airline ticket.

Other Fees:
• A cleaning fee of $350 will be charged for any trace of smoke odor, ashes, or trash of cigarettes or marijuana.

Cancellation 24 Hours Prior to Pick-up:
• If you cancel your reservation 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time and you've prepaid, you'll receive a refund minus a $50 processing fee.

Cancellation Within 24 Hours of Pick-up:
• If you cancel your reservation within 24 hours of the pickup time and you've prepaid, you'll receive a refund minus a $150 processing fee.

No Show Policy:
• Reservations are automatically charged for no-shows.
• If you don't show up for your reservation, you'll be charged as per the rental company's policy.

Late Pickup:
• If you arrive late for your pickup, the rental period starts at the original reservation time.
• This means you'll still be charged for the full rental period even if you arrive late.

Back-to-Back Reservations:
• Continuous online reservations without a 5-day gap between them are not permitted.

Extensions of Current Rental:
• Extensions of the current rental need to be done in person.
• There is a minimum fee of $30 per day for extending the rental, in addition to the original daily rate.

No Refunds for:
• Unused days: You won't receive a refund for days you didn't use the car.
• Extra gas: If you return the car with more gas than when you received it, you won't receive a refund for the excess gas.
• Early returns: You won't receive a refund for returning the car before the scheduled return date.

Extension/Renewal Policy:
• Any extensions or renewals of the rental must be done at least 24 hours before the scheduled return date and time.

Delinquent Rentals:
• Delinquent rentals that are not paid in advance will be billed at 3 times the daily rate.
• Delinquent rental recovery can incur fees ranging from $500 up to $10,000, which includes various costs like tracking, personnel, document processing, reporting, and collection fees.
