Rental Requirements and General Qualifications

Office Outside Terminal. Exit the arrivals hall and start walking to your left. Exit the airport main gate and keep walking straight for 50 meters at the left car parking area. 22:01 - 23:59: 40€ plus VAT 24%.
00:00 - 05:59: 76€ plus VAT 24%.
06:00 - 07:59: 40€ plus VAT 24%.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Included in rental; reduces damage responsibility to
excess/deductible amount.
Theft Waiver (THW): Included in rental; reduces financial responsibility for vehicle theft to
deductible sum.
Third Party Liability Insurance (TPL): Included in rental; covers personal injuries and material
damages.
Note: The Accident Statement must be supplemented for insurance coverage. In cases involving a
third party, police authorities must be called. An administration fee (D.A.F.) of 50€ plus VAT 24% will be charged for
car damage or theft.
INSURANCE EXCLUSIONS/VOIDS
Exclusions: Damages to underside, interior, tires, wheels, windshield, wrong fuel, lights,
mechanical damage, mirrors, car key, and antenna.
Voids: Coverage voided if damage is caused by:
Driving under the influence, unauthorized drivers, racing, unlicensed driving, border violations,
towing/pushing, intentional damage, negligence, off-road driving, using the vehicle for hire, traffic law
violations, failure to secure keys, or failure to lock the vehicle.
Attempted theft, key loss, theft of personal belongings, acts of God, and terrorist attacks.

Vehicles must remain in the Island of Crete.
Ferry transportation is not allowed .
Off-road driving is strictly prohibited for all vehicles except special categories 4WD vehicles. For
verification, all rental cars are equipped with GPS tracking devices that record off-road driving. In the
event of violations, the rental can be terminated immediately and there is a penalty fee of 300€ plus VAT 24%.

PAYMENT METHODS
Accepted methods of payment: Visa Credit , MasterCard Credit, Cash payment, Debit cards.
Not accepted: Diners Club, American Express, Visa Electron, Maestro, Discover, Japanese Credit
Bureau.
Debit cards are accepted as a method of payment but cannot be used for deposit pre-
authorization.
DEPOSIT
A credit card in the name of the main driver is required for the security deposit. The name of the
cardholder and the name of the main driver specified on your booking must be the same.
Accepted cards: Visa Credit, MasterCard Credit.
Not accepted: Debit Card, Diners Club, American Express, Visa Electron, Maestro, Discover,
Japanese Credit Bureau. The credit card must be valid for at least 6 months after the rental period. In
exceptional cases, you may need to enter the PIN of your credit card.
The blocked amount will be returned in full at the end of the rental provided the vehicle is
returned in the same condition as rented. It totally depends on the cardholder’s bank when the
amount will be released. We are not responsible for any insufficient fund charges or bank fees related
to this process

The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as provided at the beginning of the
rental, otherwise the customer will be charged for the missing fuel plus a refueling charge of 20€ plus VAT 24%.
No refunds for unused fuel are given.

DRIVER'S AGE
Minimum Driver’s age: 21 years (age restrictions apply for larger car groups).
Maximum driver’s age: 75 years.
Young driver’s fee (21-24 years): 20€ per day plus VAT 24%.
Senior driver’s fee (72-75 years): 20€ per day plus VAT 24%.
Allowed to rent car groups: CCMR, CCAR, CDAR, CDMR, EBMH, ECMH, ECMR, EDAR, EDMR, EGMH,
HDAR, IDMR, MDAR, MDMR, NDAR, NDMR, NTMR.
DRIVER'S LICENSE
Valid driving license required (in physical form):
1 year for mini, economy, compact, intermediate, standard, and full-size vehicle groups.
3 years for luxury and premium vehicle groups.
Valid ID card, passport and booking confirmation voucher required at pick-up.
EU citizens must produce a driving license and either passport or identity card to pick up the car.
All documents must have been issued at least 12 months before pick up.
Non-EU citizens must produce driving license as well as an International Driving Permit.
U.S. and Canadian citizens must produce a driver's license and international driver's license.
